Quote for the Week:
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go....

Yikes!
Obviously, I'm behind updating the blog. The last couple of weeks have been crazy with all this research paper stuff and snow days here and there. To top it all off, Reece caught a horrible stomach bug last Thursday night and kept me up most of the night. Then, he decided to share it with Mallory who was sick all day Sunday and part of Monday. So, I'm still not caught up on grading and am just now getting to the blog. Oh, yeah, who can forget the wicked storms that rumbled through Sumner County in the wee hours this morning? I can't because I was awakened by a splitting headache, window-vibrating thunder, and "Mommy, can I get in bed with you?" I hope you all stay safe tonight!
What do you do to deal with stressful situations? Write a thoughtful comment (3-4 sentences) and post it no later than Saturday, Feb. 26.

Stress is a part of everyday life for me, however depending on the amount of stress in my life at the time depends on how I directly deal with it. Normally, I focus on finishing small tasks concerning the problem to lessen the feeling of helplessness. With large amounts of stress, I tend to listen to my iPod more often and have less conversations simply because I'm probably in a bad mood.
ReplyDeleteHonors and AP classes, basketball, soccer, and church all work together to create a at times extremely stressful life. If this stress goes unaddressed I would literally have a mental breakdown. In order to deal with stress I enjoy going for a long relaxing run. When I go for a run I feel like nothing can touch me-- nothing can go wrong. Alex K.
ReplyDeleteIn stressful situations I just pray to the man up stairs and just ask him to help me with my problems. And sometimes I just turn off all the lights and just think to myself what I can do better to help me not stress anymore. Jarren Moore
