I knew it was coming--or at least guessed it was: SNOW! I jinxed us because I made lesson plans up until spring break. Usually, when I do this Mother Nature messes up my plans--to remind me I'm not in control. So, if you get a day off in the near future, you can thank me! Just kidding (I really don't have that much power) :-)

I absolutely love watching a white blanket of snow cover the ground in the winter. Watching the snow fall is so peaceful and relaxing. Nature seems calm and serene each snowflake silently hits the ground. I also love playing in the snow all day and then coming in to a warm cup of hot chocolate.

I love how excited children get about snow. When my friends and I go sledding, it is always so great to see how happy all of the little kids in the neighborhood are. I love to see the snowmen lining the street. Another reason I love the snow is because it gives me a great reason to drink a lot of hot chocolate when I get home.

I love snow! My favorite thing about snow is the random days off of school as a result of the treacherous weather conditions. A snow day is completely different and way more exciting than a normal day off because it is unexpected. I can't even begin to describe the adrenaline rush that comes when my whole family is focused on the school closings scrolling at the bottom of the tv screen just waiting for Goodpasture to be added to the list. I am hoping and praying for more snow and snow days this year!

Snow is without a doubt the most amazing thing about winter. I love to watch my once drab surroundings become laced with a layer of luscious white. This winter weather is an exceedingly rare occasion; when it comes around people deserve a relaxing day to enjoy it.
